I admit that I was tempted to watch Melania. Thank you for sharing the link to Kermode & Mayo. I don’t think I’ll bother now! “Somebody sicked up a load of gold” 🤣🤣🤣 It sounds horrific. Particularly the mic drop quote about Hitler 😳
I am 💯 looking for that Take That documentary! And I didn't realize Wuthering Heights was already showing. I've been wanting to check it out since I saw the trailer months back. And you're right — everyone is tormented in that story!
If you had to choose, go with Take That any day over WH. Although I say this having not watched the film, I think that it is released on Valentine’s Day - what a joke!
I'm currently reading Wuthering Heights and loving it, but as you've said it's definitely not a love story by any stretch of the imagination. And I don't think contemporary readers and revieweres of Brontë ever looked at it that way. I read somewhere that the 1939 adaptation with Laurence Olivier as Heathcliff was marketed as "the greatest love story ever seen/written" which no doubt has contributed to lead people astray. Anyway, I'm very curious to see the upcoming adaptation.
Good to hear that WH can be enjoyed. I got stuck on the meanness that ran through many of the character’s actions, but then perhaps another reading might help me understand it a bit better!
Still got plans to see when it released, and I’ll be keen to hear your thoughts.

Kermode’s takedowns are priceless. He doesn’t hold back!
Not sure if the 2009 adaptation of Wuthering Heights can be beat!
Haha, I agree!
I saw the review of the bribementary over the weekend. It was pretty good.
Bribementary - that’s a great one 😁
The english lexicon needs to expand to cover whatever the hell’s going on in America right now.
In 50 years time (or less), I think there probably will be. It will just depend on who writes it
