Usually, I like to spend my monthly Moments newsletter reflecting a little on the previous month, but when I went to put the finishing touches to this post together at the weekend, I realised that I am still a little lost for words after last week’s events in US politics. (I am British, but as many readers will know, I have an American husband and so what affects him, affects us both. And that’s not including the broader global repercussions of a second Trump presidency).
Anyway, I ended up deleted what I had written and decided to share a few images from a holiday to Indonesia that I took with my husband. And during the same trip, I was also fortunate to meet fellow Substacker -

And what I have been reading:
One of the books I picked up in the UK in September was ‘The Ministry of Time’ by Kaliane Bradley. It’s a love-story and it involves time travel but it is so much more than this. My favourite book from last year was ‘Tomorrow, Tomorrow, Tomorrow’ by Gabrielle Zevin, so perhaps more sci-fi is in my reading future.
Perhaps I will have more to say next week.
