These images. Wow! How interesting is it that while you noted the contrast between the women's dresses, my eyes went immediately to the similarity in cut and style. Makes me think of that idea of art only being half finished when we share it; the rest is finished by the viewer/listener/reader, etc. So glad you're enjoying your time in the UK.

And that map! Funny, because I was thinking to myself recently that my son loves those intricate coloring books and maybe I would too. Perhaps I need a giant map instead!

I love that! How art is only half finished and the rest is finished by the viewer/listener/reader. That’s a wonderful way of thinking about it.

Once I finally finish the US map, I’ll be on the lookout for another one 😂 hope you can find one for your son!

The exhibition at M+ (isn't it a great space?) looks wonderful. I especially like "New York, New York, 1979 (printed 2017) by Tseng Kwong Chi." Thanks for sharing!

Thanks Jeffrey - that image was definitely one of my favourites from the exhibition.

The M+ is a fantastic place, and the surrounding grounds are a wonderful place to watch the sunset too!

Interesting post Sarah. Looks like it was a great exhibition! Fan Ho has always been a favourite. A couple of years ago I came to know that the approaching shadow was staged. Fan Ho had asked his cousin to pose. What imagination!

I should take a leaf out of Fan Ho's book and ask my relatives to be more involved in my photography! Love his work.

Fan Ho used a lot of techniques to showcase shadow/light in his images. I love them!
